Finding the Road

From the collection “A Few Meaningless Words” published in 1996.

I find hope in the few questions
I can’t answer and are left unsolved
The cure still not found

I find thrills in time
Fashion making my statement
“For those who care ‘people are dying’ why don’t you listen”

I find love for my family
In the simplest talk
Stories of past relations about present engagements

I find pleasure in the ocean
How cold yet so loving
Running through me naked—

The waves caress my pain
The water leaves me numb
The feeling leaves me fresh
The sun allows me to dream
The skies give me life

I find abstinence in my pottery
Kicking the wheel
Finally, I’ve met my partner.
